Predicting organisational commitment: The role of line manager communication, employee trust and job satisfaction

Purpose: This study examines the influence of line manager communication (LMC) on affective organisational commitment through mediating mechanisms employee trust and job satisfaction. The further investigates moderation effect to explain commitment. Design/methodology/approach: Data for were collected from employees at different levels in financial services sector South Africa an online survey hosted Qualtrics. A covariance-based structural equation modelling (SEM) was performed assess various hypotheses by using Mplus. analysis used latent moderated (LMS) model approach, which utilises unique capabilities SEM.
